“My son and I wanted to take lessons for our mother & son dance for his wedding.
Chung called me personally to ask a few questions to help him understand what we were wanting.
Chung made us feel very comfortable and confident.
The video he took at the end of the session was extremely helpful.
We definitely will recommend him to anyone needing lessons.

“I had my first class and I am happy to say I really enjoyed it!
I have two left feet but last night, I felt proud of myself for not giving in to self-doubt about my lack of ability and embracing something new.
I’m very glad I gave it a shot!
I’m looking forward to more classes and trying out what I learn at festivals and other music venues!
No more sitting on the sidelines and people watching for me! ❤️”

“We had a private teen event last weekend with Chung instructing the teens (about 15 kids) in swing and a bit of line dancing.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and Chung taught them so many moves!
We had some kids with experience and many without, but they all caught on and had a great time.
And Chung was super responsive and easy to work with when we were planning the event.
All around a great experience!

“I had the pleasure of attending a West Coast Swing Class with Chung and it was a very fun experience.
I felt comfortable as a beginner and was able to learn a lot with the way he breaks things down into steps.
I appreciated the way he taught the follow and lead roles, while encouraging a connection.
I plan to attend many more workshops.”
Hi there, my name is Chung Thang, and I'm glad you're here! 😊
I’ve been partner dancing since 2018, starting as an instructor with the UL Ballroom Dance Club while attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Since then, I’ve taught over 500 people here in Acadiana, from total beginners to newly weds — helping them feel more confident and comfortable on the dance floor.
In the last few years, I founded and helped grow two local dance communities:
Lafayette West Coast Swing — where I taught adults of all ages (mostly 40-70s) through weekly public group lessons and hosted regular social dance events.
- Parish Nights — a youth organization for young adults (18–30s), focused on helping Gen Z build friendships, gain social skills, and learn to dance – without the influence of alcohol.
